U.S. Anthracite Exports Increase Slightly between 2020 and 2021

2021 According to information obtained from the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) website, U.S. anthracite exports experienced a slight increase from 2020 to 2021 as well.
The USITC data base shows that the United States exported 324,754 short tons of anthracite in 2020 at an estimated value of $40,396,185. However, 2021 U.S. anthracite exports climbed slightly to 329,376 short tons. The estimated value for anthracite exported in 2021 is $42,462,816.

Over the past two years, Canada has been the largest importer of Pennsylvania Anthracite taking in 140,679 short tons in 2020 and 173,138 short tons in 2021. Other nations importing U.S. anthracite over the last two years include Brazil, Belgium, Honduras, France and South Africa, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Thailand.
